Bubbles Artwork In Exhibition

Michael Jackson’s pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, has been painting and now you can see his artwork included in an exhibition in Miami along with other celebrity orangutans and chimpanzees. The exhibition, ‘Apes That Paint’ will run for ten days beginning on July 21st. Frames USA & Art Gallery in Miami-Dade County will be hosting the event with a free opening reception from 6:00pm – 10:00pm on July 21st.

The exhibition will feature around sixty pieces of art and gallery owner, Adam Brand, has said he hopes each piece will be sold for between $300 and $2,000. Proceeds from the artwork will benefit the Center for Great Apes which is a sanctuary for apes that are unable to live in the wild and where Bubbles currently resides.

“Most of them today do paint with their fingers. Some hold a paintbrush,” Brand explained. “Bubbles paints with a paintbrush.” He has also had his work displayed previously in 2012 at Art Basel in Wynwood.
