Billboard’s Top Halloween Songs
According to Billboard magazine’s list of top Halloween songs, there’s no contest – Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ is the definitive song of the season.
The list ranked the most-played Halloween-themed songs on radio stations during the last week of Oct. 2013. Although ‘Thriller’ took top honours, the Halloween party staple ‘Monster Mash’ took second place, followed by ‘Ghostbusters.’
Satan was a popular theme in the list, with Van Halen’s ‘Runnin with the Devil,’ the Blue Oyster Cult’s ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’ and AC/DC ‘Highway to Hell’ all making the top 10.
Rounding out the list were Rob Zombie’s ‘Dragula,’ Warren Zevon’s ‘Werewolves of London,’ Rockwell’s ‘Somebody’s Watching Me’ and ‘A Nightmare on My Street’ by D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.
