Hackers Punished
Sony Music has won the legal battle against two hackers who stole unreleased songs by Michael.
James Marks, 27, and James McCormick, 26, were arrested two years ago after Sony reported that the security of their US servers had been breached.
The Associated Press reported that investigators found that the men had used their home computers to search for unreleased Michael Jackson songs and downloaded almost 8,000 files, including completed and incompleted songs, videos and artwork. In September, Marks and McCormick pleaded guilty to two counts of unauthorized access to computer material and today were sentenced to 100 hours of community service at Leicester Crown Court.
Sony Music has declined to comment on the case.
