MJ Items Auctioned
Julien’s Auctions had a sale this week in Los Angeles, and many celebrity items were sold for amazing amounts. Among them were items belonging to Michael and his brothers, including a pair of ‘Victory Tour’ sunglasses for $7,680, and a collection of five stage costumes worn by the Jackson 5, at the 1976 American Music Awards, which sold for $10,240.
Later this month, Julien’s Auctions will sell furniture and personal effects from the mansion that was Michael’s last home. The sale will include a mirror on which Michael had written “March, April” and then “May – Full on,” – an apparent reference to the gruelling rehearsals he was attending in early 2009, for a series of comeback concerts in London.
From the kitchen, there is the chalkboard note saying “I (heart) daddy,” and one saying “Hugs are for free,” while auctioneers recently found a candle that Michael’s son Prince had carved his name into.
