National Children’s Choir
This year over eight thousand primary school children around the country will take part in Ireland’s National Children’s Choir. They will learn a repertoire of diverse songs in Irish, English and Latin, including rap, traditional, opera, modern and spiritual, from composers ranging from Mozart to Michael. The choir enables young people to experience the sheer joy of singing with other children in a large choir – often in two, three or even four parts.
Tickets will be available from participating Schools or at the door on the nights of May 19th and 20th.
Representatives from every school will then be invited to perform in one of three gala concerts in The National Concert Hall in Dublin on May 28th, 29th and 30th.
