In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Hard Rock has loaded up some of the most prized possessions in its collection and is taking that show on the road, hitting thirty-two locations across the USA throughout the summer.
Included in the collection is the red leather jacket adorned with twenty-seven zippers and chain-mail shoulder inserts, Michael wore in his ‘Beat It’ video. Later, he gave it to a dying child, and Hard Rock acquired it from his family.
“The best part is sewn inside the jacket — a pass to a 1983 Liza Minnelli concert,” says Hard Rock historian Jeff Nolan.
