‘We Are The World’ written by Michael and Lionel Richie was once the biggest selling single of all time with twenty million copies and it raised sixty-three million dollars for humanitarian aid in Africa and the US.
It is thought that Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie are trying to recruit a line-up of stars to remake the song to mark its 25th Anniversary and artists such as Usher, Natalie Cole and John Legend have been approached to stay in Los Angeles for an extra night after the Grammy Awards show to record the single.
If the song is remade, it is thought that all proceeds will be donated and given to the Haiti earthquake disaster.
