Michael’s memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles cost the City of Los Angeles $3 million for crowd control, public safety, police services and expenses. The City will now seek reimbursement of that sum, even though a City audit has shown that over $4 million was pumped into the City economy by the influx of people attending the event, as we reported earlier.
