Fairgoers Can’t Beat It!
Every Friday, the First 5,000 State Fair Visitors Get One Free Ride on Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Rides
Four Amusement Rides from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Will Debut at the State Fair
SACRAMENTO – The California State Fair today announced a special ride promotion every Friday of the 2009 State Fair. On Fridays, Butler Amusements will give the first 5,000 people through the gates a golden ticket good for one free ride on one of the four Neverland Ranch rides debuting at the State Fair.
Butler Amusements will bring four rides that were originally from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, and all will be available for Fair patrons to enjoy. The rides are named the following: Balloon Samba, Jeeps, Wave Swinger and Dinos. The Dinos are a recent addition to the ride list and feature a total of eight revolving dinosaurs and elephants that passengers can control and make the animal go up or down.
BALLOON SAMBA
A family ride, The Balloon Samba features carriages that simulate riding in a hot air balloon. The fluffy white cloud cut outs, and bright smiling suns give riders the feeling they’re drifting high into the sky. Kids must be at least 36” tall to ride.
THE JEEPS
Kids can rev up their engines on The Jeeps. This umbrella-style ride has children cruising and jumping in mini-4×4 jeeps which travel in a 360 degree rotation, but is calm enough for first-time riders. Children must be at least 36” tall to ride.
THE WAVE SWINGER
The Wave Swinger is a traditional swing ride that slowly lifts its passengers 40 feet into the air and takes them on a leisurely ride, tilting one way and another. With its classic carousel, music and painted scenery, riders will be reminded of days gone by.
Butler Amusements is the largest carnival company in the Western United States providing attractions for more than 110 different events each year. These three new rides will complement the dozens of other rides and games the company will bring for the 2009 State Fair.
RIDE ALL DAY, ANY DAY!
For the first time in more than ten years, and because of its new partnership with Butler Amusements, the California State Fair is honoring unlimited ride wristbands every day of the State Fair – even weekends. Patrons can buy them until 10 p.m., and ride until 11 p.m. Most rides are included (including the Neverland Ranch rides), but all height and safety requirements still apply. For a complete ride list, please visit www.bigfun.org.
For the best deal, carnival ride enthusiasts are encouraged to buy their admission tickets and wristbands in advance to save up to 50 percent off the regular price.
