Birthday Tribute In London
Sarah has asked us to tell you all about the tribute in London which is taking place on Michael’s birthday this year.
“MEET UP at Trafalgar Square, London, to celebrate Michael’s music and dance on the day that would have been his 51st birthday. Dress for the occasion! If you can, wear the trademark arm-band that Michael wore as a symbol of the suffering of children around the world. We will celebrate with dancing and singing. I have Maya Angelou’s Poem “We had him”, this will be played whilst we honour Michael with silence and contemplation, toward the end of the event at Trafalgar Square.
First Verse, I find the wording apt.
You know it doesn’t make much sense
There ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offence
At a day in your celebration
‘Cause we all know in our minds
That there ought to be a time
That we can set aside
To show just how much we love you
And I’m sure you will agree
It couldn’t fit more perfectly
Than to have a world party on the day you came to be.
We will all light our candles on our cake’s, together we will sing Happy Birthday, blow out of candles and make our own private wishes for Michael, his beautiful children and his family.
BRING WITH YOU IF YOU CAN:
