August 14, 2009
Many fans have begun bidding in the auction for one of five special editions of ‘The Michael Jackson Opus’ which are to be signed by a variety of celebrities. The publishers are hoping to raise more than a million dollars for charity as a result of the auctions and have approached famous people to sign the copies, including Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones and P Diddy.
The book, which is endorsed by Michael’s estate, is described by the publishers as an “exhaustively researched and lavishly produced work-of-art”.
The hand-bound leather tome runs to four hundred pages and weighs thirty-eight pounds, with unsigned editions available to order for £109.
