London’s British Music Experience at the O2 Arena, London will host the 1984 portrait by Andy Warhol of Michael before it is auctioned.
The auction will be held in New York and is expected to be extremely lucrative. Warhol’s painting of Elizabeth Taylor fetched $23.7million (£14million) in 2007 and a further artwork by Warhol, the 1963 ‘Green Car Crash’ fetched a remarkable $71.7million (£42.8).
