Tickets Sold At Inflated Prices
London’s Evening Standard newspaper has reported on the current sales of Michael’s 02 concert tickets at vastly inflated prices.
Seatwave, Europe’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange has revealed that more than 10,000 tickets have now been sold on one ticket exchange website alone, averaging around three hundred pounds each, but some fans have paid more than six times the face value for their tickets. Seatwave’s sales have increased about 200% in the first three months of this year due largely to Michael’s concerts
Viagogo became the official secondary ticket sales company to AEG, and paid £1.5million to sell about one thousand premium seats for each show for up to seven hundred per ticket, but made thousands of tickets available to touts.
