Madonna Posts Rare Instagram Photo
Pop star Madonna has shared a photo via her Instagram account, of her and the King of Pop together at David Geffen’s birthday party in 1991. She captioned the photo ‘The King and The Queen’ and gave is the hashtag #iconic.
Madonna gave a touching tribute to Michael during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, held in New York City, shortly after his death. She also revealed details of their friendship during a Rolling Stone interview not long later. She said
“I was madly in love with him, totally smitten. He was mind-bogglingly talented.”
She told the publication that they first met in the early 1980s when they had the same manager, and they became friends and began doing some song writing together. As to what they did when they spent time together, Madonna revealed that they were “watching movies, having dinner, hanging out, going to the Oscars, being silly and seeing if we could work.”
